Jim is an intrepid designer and art director who sees design and concepts in every day life and pop culture. An avid team player, he consults both sides of his brain to bring concepts to life. An award winning designer with over 25 years of experience, he’s been designing and art directing for some of the biggest brands and for some of the biggest agencies in the US and in Europe, including KIA Motors in Germany, 24 Hour fitness, United Healthcare, Gold’s Gym, and Life proof just to name a few.
He spent the first part of his career in the action sports industry, designing and art directing for skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding brands in Southern California. Then he took his talents to Europe in 1999 where he lived and worked for six years, all the while being influenced and inspired by the European culture and design which surrounded him.
Jim has done everything from Magazine print ads, Direct Mail, Point of Purchase to Digital website design, emails and Targeted Display Ads. He even art directs some TV ads and promotional videos.
He even edited and published an award winning book while living in Barcelona, Spain. Which happened to win the design prize of Barcelona of 2003.
Fluent in graphic design and art direction, as well as German and Spanish, along with his native language of English, which he sometimes uses to write witty headlines and copy to fit his typography.
Jim currently resides in sunny San Diego, California, where he still enjoys and is inspired by skateboarding and world travel.
